“NIGHT FLIGHT”

Kelly Thomas invites us on a unique “Night Flight” beyond time and place. Lyricist and composer of contemporary tropical music, she collaborates with the exceptional musicians Nikos Papaioannou on cello and Pavlos Spyropoulos on bass, creating a special, personal sound world.

Kelly Thomas has built a sound that is rich, colorful and open to every cultural influence, connecting tradition, imagination and contemporary creation.

Kelly Thomas began studying the lyra with Ross Daly in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she began touring with him and his band "Labyrinth", performing at some of the world's most 
important concert venues and festivals. 
She has participated in numerous artistic projects with musicians from different musical traditions around the world.

As a member of “Labyrinth” and the Labyrinth Music Workshop, he had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with many internationally recognized musicians, 
such as Trio Chemirani, Ömer Erdoğdular, Derya Türkan, Zohar Fresco, Efrén López, Pedram Khavar Zamini, Dhruba Ghosh, Ballake Sissoko, Erdal Erzincan, Mehmet Erenler,
 Yurdal Tokcan, Mayu Shviro and Ustad Mohammed Rahim Khushnawaz, among many others. 
These collaborations contributed to the formation of a unique personal style on the lyra and a creative approach to traditional music.

He participates in most of Ross Daly's artistic ventures and since 2008 has been a member of the Tokso Folk String Quartet together with Anne Hytta, 
Eleonore Billy and Sigrun Eng, exploring and creating music inspired, among other things, by Scandinavian musical traditions.

She has performed with Ross Daly at major venues and festivals worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall, the Théâtre de la Ville, and Queen Elizabeth Hall, 
as well as at the San Francisco World Music Festival, Rainforest World Music Festival, WOMADelaide, and the Rudolstadt Festival.
She has released three albums featuring her own compositions: *Anamkhara* (2009), *7Fish* (2014), and *As The Winds Die Down* (2018). 
She is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as the Rallou Manou Dance School.
