Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη, CASA BIANCAAngeliki Giannopoulou recently had the honor of winning first prize at the 6th Thessaloniki Piano Festival Piano Competition, chaired by Domna Evnouchidou. She grew up in Athens and now lives in London, studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Ian Fountain, with the support of the Turnbull and Munster trusts. She made her debut at the D. Mitropoulos Hall of the Concert Hall together with Arieta Liatsi, after their joint victory in the "We Listen to the Young" competition of the Kalogeropouleio Foundation, with the jury headed by the artistic director of the Concert Hall, Yiannis Vakarelis. Other recent successes include the Mozart Prize,Jock Holden, the Louis Carus Duo Prize with Ines Alves, the Turnbull Piano Foundation prize and the Peter Lindsay Miller Prize for piano duo.
