3rd Thessaloniki Soloist Festival 2026
Mayor's greeting

This summer belongs to Culture, it belongs to Thessaloniki. Alongside the dozens of events currently underway at the Garden Theatre as part of the “Summer at the Garden Theatre” Festival, the Municipality of Thessaloniki is highlighting the centuries-old history and experience of Thessaloniki by organizing for the third consecutive year a series of nine cultural events at iconic landmarks of the city, such as the Galerian Complex, the Byzantine Museum, the Ancient Agora Conservatory, and the Rotonda.
Through cultural creation, we are bringing to life the city’s unique monumental heritage and historical continuity, insisting on constant interaction, dialogue, and communication between the city, citizens, and Culture. At the same time, we are giving yet another incentive to the city visitors to explore a top cultural tourism destination such as Thessaloniki, inviting them on this unique journey through space and time.
From July 6 to 23, our city is transformed into an open stage of contemporary creation, hosting an artistic encounter with multiple references, from covers of selected Beatles songs to an operatic tribute to Giuseppe Verdi and folk songs from Constantinople.
These different sounds unite ideas, values and eras, reflecting the multiculturalism of Thessaloniki, a city with an unbroken historical continuity of over 2,300 years that has produced and continues to produce with admirable consistency Culture, inspiration and creativity.
We are waiting for you!
Stelios Angeloudis
Mayor of Thessaloniki
Deputy Mayor of Culture, Tourism Development & Intermunicipal Cooperation

Dear fellow citizens and music lovers,
It is with great joy and pride that I welcome you to the 3rd Thessaloniki Soloist Festival, an institution that is now deeply rooted in the cultural identity of our Thessaloniki. After the great success of previous years, we return this July more dynamic, uniting historical memory with contemporary artistic creation.
This year’s program is a fascinating mosaic of great soloists and acclaimed groups, who will flood the city’s most emblematic landmarks and monuments with melodies, such as;
- Galerius Palace,
- 12 Apostles Square,
- The Amphitheater of the Garden of the Ages in Nea Paralia,
- The historic Islachane,
- The Odeon of the Ancient Agora,
- The imposing Rotonda,
- The Atrium of the Byzantine Museum,
- The Umbrellas of Zongolopoulos
Our goal remains to highlight the artistic wealth and offer a free, high-level cultural experience for residents and visitors. Music becomes the bridge that connects the past with the present, giving new life and light to the architectural and historical ornaments of Thessaloniki.
We are waiting for you all to experience these unique summer evenings together.
Sincerely,
Vassilis Gakis
Deputy Mayor for Culture, Tourism Development and Inter-Municipal Cooperation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki
